At her 6 month checkup a couple weeks ago she weighed 16 lb 12 oz (60th percentile) and was 26 1/2 in. long (50th). She was pretty apprehensive about being stripped down to her diaper and held by people she didn't know, but after it was all over she was fine.
She babbles a lot now, saying "ma-ma", "da-da", "na-na", "dy-da", "ga-ga", etc. She also laughs and giggles which is just about the best sound in the whole world.
We give her prunes everyday now, and the first time she ate them, well, let's just say we made a mess.
Yes, she really did smear them all over her face.
We did get a couple bites in her mouth, believe it or not!
For Memorial Day, we went with the Lee's and Steve's sister Jen (who came to visit for the weekend) to the cemetery. I was really impressed with how many people were there and how many war veterans were buried in the provo cemetery. We owe a lot to them. Afterward, we had a "BBQ" at our house. We had hot dogs and chicken that I marinated in Mountain Dew. Yes, MOUNTAIN DEW. And it was pretty darn good, too. Jen made us all Eclair cake before she headed back to Rexburg which was way yummy. It was great to have her!
I just had to include these pics of Emrie in the snow. They are from April, the week before graduation. I woke up to 6 inches of snow and decided to put Emrie in her snowsuit and take her out to "play" in it. She didn't last long, but it was worth it!
Emrie is getting more hair now and is more and more fun everyday! She is much more mobile and does this really cute frog-crawling, that we love. Yesterday she crawled from the living room to her bedroom, which was quite a distance for her! We hope you enjoy the rest of the pics and the video of Emrie "crawling"!
Loving the sippy cup!
Look at that hair!
Emrie in the "big girl" bed in her room. She pulled the covers up herself.
