Emrie's 1st Easter!

I hope everyone had a fun Easter! I had to work all weekend, so we convinced Steve's sisters to come down and keep Emrie company while Steve got ready for finals. They got here just in time to babysit so Steve and I could go on a date--YAY! Thanks!! We hadn't been out without Emrie since Valentine's so it was definitely time! We doubled with the Stapley's for dinner and then joined the Lee's for Divine Comedy. It was great--the food, the company, and the entertainment were fabulous. Emrie also behaved herself for Steve's sisters which was nice.

On Easter Sunday, Steve and our friends dyed eggs, and then Darci and a couple of her roommates came over and basically made my Easter dinner. I felt bad that I couldn't be home sooner to do more, but they did a great job.

Unfortunately, work was pretty busy that weekend, but somebody found out all the patients and their ages and brought them Easter baskets which was really awesome for the kids. A great reminder of what we really celebrate on Easter--the life of the Savior.

Anyway, dinner was great and so was the time with friends and family. We had Strawberry Pie with meringue crust for dessert which was pretty awesome (if I do say so myself), and so much better for you than traditional pie! Emrie wore her Easter dress and I got to see her in it when I got home. We gave her a little basket with some new toys and books and she loved it. Enjoy the pics!

Oh my goodness what a pretty little girl. She is growing so fast. I'm loving her facial expressions. What a cutie pie. I wish I was closer so I could come squeeze her to pieces. Glad you guys had a special day!
