1.Emrie is running me ragged : )
2.She chucked my camera on the hardwood leaving it permanently in snapshot mode and a host of other problems (see excuse number one!). I figured none of you would read this without pictures, and I didn't have any, but now I do!
I have one other reason for not blogging. I am training to run a half marathon in July. I'll start my official training program in May to prepare. In the meantime I've been running and doing interval training to increase my endurance and speed. Wish me luck!
Back to the important stuff: Emrie!
She started running--not walking--just after Christmas when we bought her Nike's in Oregon. I should have known my baby girl would love shoes!
Some of her current favorite things are: rocks, leaves--or just plain being outside, popsicles, raisins, picking out her outfits, complete with her hair bow, "feeding" Bronco, rocking out to her radio, Veggie Tales movies, and getting into EVERYTHING!
Emrie is already pretty chatty, and luckily for her I usually understand what she's saying. Here are some of her latest words: "ray-ray"=raisin, "oof!"=dog, "wa-wa"=water, "ookie!"=cookie, "NO-uh"!=her teenage whiny way of telling me no, "eef!"=leaf, or teeth, aka I want my tooth brush, "shish"=fish, aka Finding Nemo, "sheesh-us"=Jesus, and "Juh-Juh"=Aunt Jenny.
She has no problem getting things for herself if we don't understand the first time, and has thus learned to climb on the couch, grab the remote and start her movie, open the pantry door and get herself a snack, and get her shoes and socks to go outside. She has become a great little helper too with getting things for me and putting things away.
One other update, she got her first ever cold last week and has been the sweetest little patient ever. She takes her medicine like a champ and tries to play, even when she doesn't feel great. Thanks to a grandpa who is a doctor and a mommy who is a nurse, she'll be better in no time!
Enjoy the pictures and thank you for you patience!

Wow, she is so grown up! Does she really know how to operate the remote??? Love the pictures (but we would still read about goings on in your lives even if we didn't have them)! We miss you guys and can't wait to see you next month!
yay! I love this! Thanks for posting. I would have read it even without pictures. Can't wait to see her (and you) again!
Oh, she's getting so big!! Can't wait to see you soon.
Yes for posting! I would've read it without pictures too, you know. Good luck with your training and miss you all!
She's pretty much adorable! :)
Good luck on your marathon!
I am so glad to see a post from you! I had just about given up on you, lol. Emrie is HUGE....I can't believe she's so grown up! She looks a lot like Darci...and you...and your mom. She's definitely got some strong Pierson genes (but that may be biased because I don't know Steve's family).
